Lawrence W. Reed is an inspiring and eloquent spokesman in behalf of free markets. Having earned degrees in economics and history, he devoted his life to expounding the principles of liberty, first as a college professor and then as a think thank executive. Since 1987 he has been President of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Midland, Michigan, which is widely regarded as one of the most effective state-focused research and educational organizations.
