John Blundell was the Director General and Ralph Harris Fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Blundell had been involved in the creation and development of numerous free-market think tanks.

The mission of IEA is to improve understanding of the fundamental institutions of a free society by analysing and expounding the role of markets in solving economic and social problems.
