Mark C. Dorfman is a senior economist with the Pensions Team in the Social Protection Group of the World Bank, where he works on pensions and contractual savings reform in developing countries. Prior to assuming this position in 2004, he worked on debt sustainability, debt relief, and risk management in low-income countries. During his 22 years with the World Bank, Mr. Dorfman has worked on several areas of financial market reform, including contractual savings, debt management, banking, and capital markets. He has worked in three regions—East Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Mr. Dorfman holds an MBA in finance from h e Wharton School.
