Maria Choupres is an attorney-negotiator and political affairs advisor with international experience resolving conflicts, building relationships and fostering consensus among diverse groups. Ms. Choupres has served as Counsel in New York for over 10 years, in both the private and public sectors, representing unions in arbitration proceedings as an associate in a law practice and acting as a lead negotiator and advocate on behalf of the City of New York. Her passion for bridging conflicts and growing interest in foreign policy led her to take on projects outside of the US. Her work has taken her from New York City to The Hague, from Athens to Tunis. She has completed political research in war zones, such as Tunisia, written articles and created content for a variety of publications, conducted private commercial mediations and negotiations, and advised various political and government officials in the US and EU. Currently, Ms. Choupres serves as the Director of Public Affairs & Policy at the Forum for Greece, an independent think tank in Athens.
