This book is part of a larger study commissioned by the National Savings and Loan League. That study examined in detail the manner in which savings and loan associations, commercial banks, and mutual savings banks have been and are being taxed and regulated.

Kenneth R. Biederman, Director; Professor of Finance at the College of Business & Economics of the University of Delaware since May 1996. Dean of the College of Business and Economics of the University of Delaware from 1990 to 1996. He also served as Interim Dean of the College from February 1999 to June 2000. Director of Chase Manhattan Bank USA from 1993 to 1996. Formerly a financial and banking consultant from 1989 to 1990 and President of Gibraltar Bank from 1987 to 1989. Previously Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of West Chester Savings Bank; Economist and former Treasurer of the State of New Jersey and Staff Economist for the United States Senate Budget Committee. He serves on the Executive; Audit; Personnel, Compensation and Benefits; Budget; and Incentive Stock Option Committees.

John A. Tuccillo

 John A. Tuccillo, Phd served as chief economist and Vice President of the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Tuccillo served as Vice President and Director of the National Council of Savings Institutions. Throughout his career as a strategic planner and industry leader, He authored numerous articles and books on housing, mortgage finance and real estate market trends. His analyses appear regularly in a variety of newspapers, broadcasts and specialty publications. He serves as Director of iProperty.com and 9keys.com. He serves as Member of Advisory Board for Pay Rent Build Credit, Inc., Homebid.com and iSucceed.com.
