1968 - Ph.D. in Economics (Marburg).

1968 - Research Assistant and Lecturer at the University of Giessen.

1971 - Full Professor at the University of Wuppertal.

1977 Full Professor at the University of Duisburg.

1991 Chair offered by the University of Hamburg (denied).

1997/99 Visiting Professor at the University of Wuhan and the Huazhong

University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.

Since 2001 Director of the Summer Academy “BEST – Business and

Economics Summer Term” of MSM.

Since 2007 Dean’s Representative for International Relations at MSM.
