Because of the importance of Stockholm Conference, the book is an attempt to trace all the statements made by various countries and organizations at the Conference, to get a clear idea of the environmental concerns and perceptions prevailing at that time and to compare them with their views in 1982 and later.

Mostafa Tolba
Mostafa Kamal Tolba is born in 1922. He is an Egyptian scientist most famous for his 17-year tenure as Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Tolba's publications include more than 95 papers on plant pathology, as well as over 600 statements and articles on the environment.
