The transformation of Central European economies has encountered many obstacles whose unforgiving nature became apparent only during the process. Changes that can made smoothly when implemented singly in developed economies, ran into formidable challenges in Central Europe because of the large number of institutional reforms required and their synergic nature.

This survey was conducted in a rapidly evolving and relatively complex market economy. The survey sample of fifty is too small to draw any scientific conclusions. However, a general understanding of the business end entrepreneurial environment can be gleaned from the survey results.
